Free Shopify payout tool
When will Shopify pay me?
Estimate when a Shopify Payments payout should reach your US or UK bank. The calculation includes settlement time, your payout schedule, weekends, major bank holidays, and normal bank processing.
How the estimate works
Shopify publishes the timing rules. We apply them to your date.
Shopify separates payout timing into three stages. First, the customer payment must settle. Next, the money waits for the daily, weekly, or monthly payout date selected in your Shopify Payments settings. Finally, your bank normally needs another one to three business days to display the deposit.
Weekends and public holidays do not count as business days. The calculator uses major US federal banking holidays or England and Wales bank holidays, depending on your selection. It cannot see private information in your Shopify account, so use the settlement time displayed in your admin whenever it is longer than the published minimum.
Common questions
Shopify payout timing FAQ
How long do Shopify Payments payouts take?
Shopify currently publishes a minimum settlement time of three business days for standard Shopify Payments charges in both the United States and United Kingdom. After Shopify sends the payout, an external bank typically needs another one to three business days. Your account can have a longer custom settlement period.
Does Shopify pay out on weekends or bank holidays?
Shopify says payout schedules use business days. Weekends and public holidays do not count toward settlement time, and a scheduled payout that falls on one is processed on the next applicable business day.
Why might my payout arrive later than this estimate?
Account reviews, reserves, negative balances, failed payouts, bank-account changes, ACH Direct Debit payments, incomplete verification, and custom risk-based schedules can all delay a payout beyond the normal estimate.
